Sofonyas is an Ethiopian-American actor, sketch writer, and overall chill guy. Shaped by an upbringing between Montreal and Las Vegas, he brings a global perspective and curiosity into every role. A Shakespeare & Company alum, he made his Off-Off Broadway debut as Romeo at The Tank and Court Square Theatre and has since portrayed characters—from Michal in The Pillowman to Gregor Samsa in Metamorphosis and Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire. His screen work has been recognized at film festivals including Int’l Chicago, Beverly Hills, and New York.
